        Here are two maps I prepared of the Bay Area Rapid Transit
system. The first one ("BART System") shows the present,
under-construction, and proposed lines. The second one ("BART
Routes") shows the logical routes; each color represents a route a
train takes on the tracks between its two endpoints; the trains share
tracks (physical routes).

        In both cases, the BART rouies are drawn in the abstract style
used in some BART publications, since station separations vary over a
wide range and the BART lines are far from straight.
