SCENERY FOR FS98 MOENCHENGLADBACH / GERMANY EDLN by Bob Whitney B.Whitney@t-online.de This scenery was initialized by Dietmar Toelg. He learned to fly in Moenchengladbach, and I want to thank him for a wonderful hour in a Piper PA28, flying around with me over Moenchengladbach, so I could see the scenery in reality, and I could also take some 30 photos of the live scene. So I tried to make all the scenery as close to the reality as it's possible, but like in every scenery, I also had to make some compromises due to the limitation of FS98. As Moenchengladbach is mostly used by single and twin engined props as VFR-airport, I needed to add a lot of surrounding aerea, all visual Nav-points like the Hannen-Alt tower, some special houses, some small lakes and the Highway (Autobahn) are added, also checkpoint Tango, Mike, Romeo and Golf. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Some Information: useful runway length 13/31 = 1200m airport elevation = 125' the airport is ILS equipped at runway 13 on Frequency 108.95 there's also a VOR at field on frequency 109.80 as well as a NDB on frequency 377. The airport is used scheduled by Fokker 50, ATR42, Dash8, Avro85 and Canadair Regionaljet, as well as by a Ju-52 from Ju-Air Switzerland. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- files: gladbapt.bgl = Airport of Moenchengladbach without static planes deb146.bgl = static debonair BAe146 gladstat.bgl = light static Aircrafts like Cessna etc. Ju52mg1.bgl = Static Ju 52 gladbcty.bgl = City of Moenchengladbach and the surrounding aerea all other files are texture-files Installation: Create a new folder in your FS\scenery and name it as Gladb, than create two subfolders called "scenery" and "texture". Copy all bgl files to the scenery subfolder of your Gladb folder, and copy all other files to the texture folder of Gladb. Than add the new scenery to your fS with the scenery-library of your FS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks to: Dietmar Toelg for a wonderful flight in a Pa28 over Moenchengladbach Rafael Sanchez for his super VOD programm Pascal Meziat for his genial Airport programm to all the flight-simmers and their work all over the world!!! Happy landings!!! Bob Whitney
