=========================================================================== Boeing 720 B Reg. N782PA "Flying Cloud" of PanAmerican Visual and AFX by Les Penridge Flight model by Brian Horsey (for FS51 and FS98) =========================================================================== This model depicts Pan American N782PA "Flying Cloud" a Boeing 720-023B (previously N7551A of American Airlines). The majority of the PanAm fleet consisted of 707-320s and -120s. While PanAm does not appear on the Boeing delivery lists for 720s, three 720-023Bs were acquired from American in 1963 and a further six from Lufthansa in 1964-66. Originally designated 707-020 the final 720 designation is an exception to Boeing's 7x7 jet model numbering. The reduced weight of the 720 in comparison to the 707-120 along with numerous improvements provided excellent airfield performance, though the three engine 727 was soon to dominate this market segment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The zip file contains the FS98 files for the usual layout. ... \Aircraft\B720B_PA\Model \Panel \Sound \Texture For those who need it, the AIR file for FS51 is stored in the embedded file: FS51.zip.
