Swissair Douglas DC-8-62 HB-IDI "Solothurn" ca.1983 for FS98 and FS5 ==================================================================================== Swissair livery by: Rafael Zimmermann (I'm really a 2 N's Zimmermann :-) Original DC8 model by: Kim Simmelink/Francesco Zoja HISTORY: Before the delivery of newer DC-10 jets in 1979, Swissair was operating some int'l frequencies with a fleet of DC-8-62's, their main jet since the 1960's. Brazil has been into this age until 1980, when the 1st DC-10 landed at GIG runway on a flight from Zurich. HB-IDI was one of those old DC-8's that as soon as the DC-10's arrived passed to fly European routes until 1983. HB-IDI "Solothurn" is depicted as appeared at LHR in April 1983.
