The last 60 DHC-2 Beaver aircraft built by de Havilland Canada before production ended in 1967 were the Turbo Beaver Mk.lll model. With a Pratt & Whitney PT6A turbine engine of 550 hp, it was the first single-engined utility aircraft to be turbine powered. This one is typical of the 680 hp Beavers curently being modified by Viking Air Ltd. of BC Canada.
