Australia's Camden GAAP Scenery Enhancement Files for FS2000 ================================================================== Description: ----------- I have started using the new "Flight Simulator Scenery Creator" program by Derek Leung (using Manfred Moldenhaur's SCASM compiler)for this series of scenery as I find it very quick and easy to create scenery which fits into the new terrain of FS2000. I have compiled some static scenery (aprons, taxiways, buildings, etc...), but have not included too much so as to keep the frame-rate down and the flying experience more realistic. Keep an eye on the "last updated" field on my web page for the latest files. I have not included some textures for static aircraft and other objects - the complete set are available as jets2.zip. You will also need the Airport & VOD textures which can now be obtained directly from my web site. (see table on my home page) Also these files make use of the new "Trees" Modules by Gerrish Gray which provides the correct seasonal changes for the Southern Hemisphere. In order to see any trees in the scenery you will need to download and install his files: http://www.compuflight.com/trees_0.zip *AND PLEASE READ HIS TEXT FILES! NOTE: My files are freely distributable as long as they not modified in any way (including this text) and under no circumstances should anyone be charged for using them. Installation of the files: ------------------------- 1. The .bgl files have to be placed into a sub-directory called "Camden" or similar: FS2000/ Scenery/ Camden/ Scenery/(*.bgl) 2. Any the texture files should be placed into: FS2000/ Texture/(*.r8, *.bmp) 3. You will probably find that FS2000 has recompiled the scenery database and added the new files on startup, but if not, go to FS2000's World Menu|Scenery Library|Add and enable the scenery. Sometimes, the scenery will not be added to the database automatically - in this case, try quitting FS2000 and re-installing the files. REMEMBER: If you don't have all the texture files installed, you wont be able to see the macros of buildings, aircraft etc... correctly! Please send me any comments or suggestions you may have, but above all - Have Fun! Cheers, Mark Dickinson.
