Introduction
------------
The Society intends to proceed with three different kinds of workshops:

o INET Workshops
o Headquarters Workshops
o Remote-Regional

INET Workshops are held annually, and have been organized ad-hoc
by the management of these workshops.

The systems for Headquarters and remote-regional workshops are new
requirements.  It is expected that the latter will be frequently
done with the assistance of chapters, so this may be somewhat ad-hoc
as well.


Headquarters Workshop and Conference Center

   -Filtering objectional material
   -install and running systems
   -network mnagement

3. Groups
   - non-English speaking
   - Developing country
   - K-12

   - almost any identifiable user group
 
4. Ancillary activities
   Resell books, software


5. Configuration of Center

   Policies: vendor and system diversity, donated products where possible,
             literature tables provided, 

   Instructor configuration: Overhead LCD Panel and PC,  whiteboard copiers

   Places: 40

   Machines:
   30 PCs
   25 Windows
    5 OS/2
   10 Macs

   Software: all systems, third party tcp/ip products, and applications

  Power:  includes UPS demos

  Servers (in a box): Sun, IBM, DEC, BBN, SGI, HP

  LANs: Ethernet, Appletalk

  Routers/terminal servers: multiple

  Connectivity options:
  - leased line
  - ISDN
  - dialup

  On-Line providers
  - AOL
  - Prodigy
  - Pipeline
